In 2014  the fairways conversion  to Bermudagrass ended with  game quality improvement,  better drainage  and above all, from an environmental point of view, water and pesticides savings.

In 2015 thanks to the management plan's trees started in 2013 with the collaboration of the Department of Arboriculture University of Bologna, the Golf Frassanelle obtained the environmental award "Impeganti nel verde", an award that is assigned, edited a Scientific Committee composed of five university professors, the Circles of course that stand out for environment activities.
These are the reasons that convinced this Committee to award the recognition to the Frassanelle Golf: "... For the care and appreciation of the historical matrix heritage trees ".
The certificate was presented by the FIG President Prof. Franco Chimenti and the Chairman of the Scientific Committee Prof. Alberto Fanfani Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Golf Milano, during the 72 ° Italian Open.
